Ananda Yoga School

Program Structure

The program is structured into seven intensive week-courses, each week has 48 hours for a total of 336 hours of training:

  • Basic 1
  • Basic 2
  • Asana 1
  • Asana 2
  • Teaching 1
  • Teaching 2
  • Energization Exercises Teacher Training

The first six weeks have to be taken in sequence; the “Energization” course can be inserted at any point.

After successfully completing these seven weeks and taking an examination, the student receives his certificate.

Note:

The program can be followed in single weeks, or several weeks consecutively. You, therefore, have a highly flexible schedule. Please check the Calendar.

9:30 Karma yoga (preparing yoga room, taking turns, not counted as hours)
10:30–13:30 Yoga Teacher’s training class
13:30 Vegetarian lunch
15:30–17:30 Yoga Teacher’s training class
17:45–19:30 Guided sadhana: energization, Ananda yoga, meditation (counted as hours of the course). Or alternatively: long silent group meditation (not counted as hours of the course)
19:30 Vegetarian dinner in silence
20:30–22:00 Yoga Teacher’s training class (4 days a week)
  Sunday Morning
7:00–9:00

9:00 Vegetarian breakfast in silence

Sunday morning special class

Each student has to attend 7 hours of guided sadhanas per week, for a total of 49 hours during the 7 weeks of the course.

 


To Apply for This Program

  1. All students must have practiced the yoga asanas regularly for at least a year.

    If you are at the beginning of your yoga practice, we recommend that you participate in the basic Ananda Yoga courses, in order to qualify as a teacher trainee applicant in the future.

    These basic courses are:

  2. Send by post (not by email) the following:

    • Application Form completed in every part and signed
    • Code of Ethics completed in every part and signed
    • A medical certificate attesting to adequate health for practicing yoga
  3. An interview in person or by telephone will be arranged with you.
  4. Payment of the Registration Fee.

 


Program Fees

The cost of the course consists of:

Registration Fee

The non-refundable registration fee for the course is € 200.00. You will receive a yoga mat, a yoga strap, an Ananda Yoga T-shirt, and the Ananda Yoga Manual.

Daily Fee

During your stay at Ananda you can chose from various kinds of lodging, which range from dormitory-style to single room with bath. Students of this Ananda Yoga Instructor’s Training Course receive a special price on their stay which is about 20% off. Weekly supplement

Each of the 7 weeks has a supplement of € 250.00 payable at the time of each single course.

For legal reasons members pay an annual fee of € 18.00, valid through the end of the calendar year.

Mode of payment

Please note: You don’t need to pay the whole cost of the course at once, but you need to pay each course when you attend it.

You can pay your registration fee in any of the following ways:

  • In person. When you visit us at Ananada, go to the Reception Office, where you can register with cash, credit card or check.

  • By Bank Transfer. If you send a bank transfer from outside Italy, give this information to your bank:
