What Is ANANDA?

in the words of a few

of our guests

I spent a wonderful week at the Ananda Retreat, immersed in the teachings of total relaxation and inner peace that only a very few vacation places know how to give. I was quite impressed with all the people who work there with so much dedication, love, and zeal for what they do. I was helped in a thousand ways to find the most serenity possible during the week.

One word that I learned is characteristic of Ananda is “kindness.” I came to this conclusion by listening to members of the staff and, mainly, by observation. People often speak of many things, but don’t always live them truly. At Ananda, they talk about kindness and put it into practice. This is why I continue to return.

At Ananda I found a serenity and a cheerfulness in the people that I’ve never seen anywhere else.

My life took a new direction after I stayed there the first time and, even if I didn’t put into practice all the various techniques provided, my attitude towards life has definitely changed. Today I am much more serene, and I believe that I’m on the right path even if I still have a long ways to go.
