Yoga Teachers and Instructors
Jayadev (Boris Jaerschky) was born in Germany, where he began yoga practice and meditation at the age of 15. He worked briefly as a social worker and, then, in 1987, went to India, where he stayed for seven months, visiting many ashrams.
In 1988 he enrolled as a psychology student in university, but soon decided to dedicate his life entirely to the spiritual search. In 1989 he joined the Ananda community in Assisi. Jayadev is recognized as one of Ananda’s main yoga, meditation, and philosophy teachers and as the Programs Coordinator.
Jürgen Kraemer graduated from the Freie Universitat Berlin with a degree in sociology and Far Eastern Sciences. He is licensed as a naturopath. He lived for many years as an exchange student, translator, language teacher, and tour guide in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the United States. He moved to Ananda Village in California in 1988 where he received his training and diploma in Ananda Yoga in 1990. Since 1991 he has been a yoga instructor, meditation teacher and translator at Ananda Italy.
Sevadevi Ena, an Ananda Yoga teacher of profound intuition, and an osteopath of wide-ranging practical experience, has worked with athletes and multiple sclerosis patients.

Monika Laaber, a yoga teacher for sixteen years, has always been interested in the curative aspects of yoga. She received her first training at the Yoga Academy in Birstein, Germany, where she received her diploma as a yoga instructor in 1994, with specialized studies in Ayurveda. She has also received her teaching diploma from the Ananda Yoga Academy and is qualified in both hatha and raja yoga. A resident of Ananda Assisi since 2000, Monika is one of the main yoga and meditation instructors.
